SAMBAR RECIPE FOR BABIES
Sambar is made with dal & vegetable...its very healthy for babies & toddlers and its very yummy as well...Dal is power house of nutrition...its helps to healthy weight gain.
Now will see how to prepare sambar for babies.
INGREDIENTS :
Moong or toor dal - 1/2 cup
Onion(small) - 1 chopped
Tomato(small) - 1 chopped
Garlic cloves - 2
Cumin seeds/
Jeerakam - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder- pinch
Asafoetida - pinch
Dry chilli - 1 or 2
Veggies as your choice.
Water as needed.
METHOD
Take all your ingredients.
In a pressure cooker transfer dal,onion,tomato,garlic,cumin seeds,dry chilli & veggies.
Fill enough water add pinch of asafoetida & tumeric powder & mix it well.
Cook it for 5 to 6 whistles or till your dal completely cook.
Cooked perfect.
Sambar ready add warm ghee & serve with idli or dosa.
NOTES
I didt add salt & tempering ingredients, for babies no need to add.. if you want you can add very little amount of salt & tempering ingredients.
For more taste you can add very little amount of jaggary.
For flavour add chopped coriender leaves.

Is it okay to add dry chilli? Won't the sambar be spicy for baby?
